About Us
A small but mighty team based in Seattle, Washington.

About
We're an early-stage startup with an experienced team, addressing the need for affordable and repairable social robots.
We recently opened a public investment round on Wefunder, giving anyone the opportunity to invest as little as $100 USD to support our mission.
Our Leadership

Chris Kudla
CEO
Chris leads from the hardware side, bringing two decades of experience building physical products that have to work every day.
He started in manufacturing at Toyota and moved into chassis engineering at Honda, then spent years in aerospace and consumer hardware. That path shaped his conviction that social robots will only reach people's homes and workplaces if they are engineered for durability, serviceability, and cost at volume.

Dr. Ben Goertzel
Chief AI Scientist
Ben leads from the software side, bringing experience as one of the pioneers of artificial general intelligence.
He is also the CEO of SingularityNET, and previously served as Chief AI Scientist at Hanson Robotics, where he led the AI work behind Sophia and other social robots. He is a highly influential researcher of artificial general intelligence, and helped popularize the term itself.
Our Lab

Located in the heart of downtown Seattle
Mind Children started in 2023 on Vashon Island, a 20-minute ferry ride from Seattle. Now, our lab is based in downtown Seattle, where our small team of engineers each bring unique expertise in social robotics.
The lab is open to guided tours, meet and greet events, and partnerships. Get in touch with us using the contact form below for more information.
